Scared to Go to Sleep at Night: Does the Christian Bible Offer Any Explanation?
Tormented by Spirits When the Sun Goes Down
As the youth counselor shared her personal and real-life paranormal experiences with a group of teens, she did not know that one of them was scared to go to sleep at night. The young lady approached the counselor after the conclusion of the group meeting in search of any kind of help.
"Every night things bother me. I sense their presence. They make noises and even attack me sometimes." She revealed to the counselor, who knew what it was to be scared to go to sleep at night. She had lived in haunted houses and had been the target of practitioners of witchcraft and voodoo hired by enemies. Although she no longer suffered from being scared at night, she empathized with the tormented young lady gazing into her eyes for help.
Two Days in a Witch Coven
The teen counselor believed strongly in getting to the root of problems whether spiritual or natural. She wanted to know how long the girl had been scared to go to sleep at night.
"This happened after I joined a witch coven, but I only attended two meetings. And, I only decided to give it a try, because they said they could help me with the problems I'm having at home. I didn't join to harm anybody. Now, I'm tormented by spirits!"
Sadly, the dilemma of the girl scared to go to sleep at night is one that is suffered by a significant number of people. Some of those people are Christians. Only very rarely do they find any help or understanding from the church. And, few will even "risk" revealing to anyone that they are tormented by spirits. They might be deemed mentally disturbed, not a true Christian, or even accused of having an overactive imagination. The truth is that most of the people who are scared to go to sleep at night are not lunatics. They are people in need of understanding and help.
The Dangerous Grip of the Occult
A mere two days involvement with a witch coven does not sound like behavior that would invite being tormented by spirits. The truth is that even a very slight and brief involvement with the occult can, and often does, prove to invite torment. This is especially the case when a person changes his or her mind about involvement and decides to abandon involvement.
The Christian Bible is not at all silent regarding the paranormal. And, it offers the only real and genuine help for those who are scared to go to sleep at night--the Lord Jesus. This is the first truth that must be understood and received if a person wants to be delivered. Depending on the circumstances, the road to recovery might not be smooth or short.
