Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christian motivational speakers are in big demand as many people seek to realize their dreams. Such people might be aspiring actors, writers, or entertainers. They might simply desire freedom from the iron grip of extreme poverty or deliverance from recurring, persistent health problems. Whatever their dreams or aspirations may be, they often seek encouragement in the speeches of Christian motivational speakers. While it's a good thing to seek encouragement, if you seeks it in desperation, or naivety, you will often end up wasting your time and energy. This only leads to frustration on top of frustration.
Many of the personal success stories told by Christian motivational speakers lack credibility due to the many missing elements that are never revealed. The speaker or the host tells of how someone trapped in poverty attained riches, being against all odds. Motivational stories usually involve the attainment of fame and or fortune. Inspirational stories, on the other hand, tend to give an account of a miraculous rescue, escape, or achievement in the midst of adversity.
A good number of inspirational stories reveal facts in detail of how the person or people were rescued, how they escaped, conquered, survived, or overcame their obstacles. However, there's hardly a motivational story that enters into detail regarding just how someone made a financial success of themselves--at least not within the last fifteen years. Listeners will hear claims of how someone started a website to get the word out about his product or service and how the responses came pouring in. This is just one example of how it appears that details are being given, but they aren't. Audiences would do well to beware of motivational speakers who take them from point A to point Z, while skipping points B thru Y.
To better illustrate this example, a person might find himself motivated to have a website done promoting a truly worthwhile service or product after hearing of the success stories of others who did similarly. Nevertheless, he will be in for a very rude awakening when, after his beautiful website has been launched for some years, no one but himself and some of his family and friends know that it's there. When he checks to see how many visitors the site has received, he finds only one--and that one is his own visit.
What the Christian motivational speakers leave out are the details of how to get a multitude of visitors to the website to see the great idea, product, or service. Unfortunately, this is something that most people will learn the hard way as they attempt to copy not only this "suggestion" for success, but many others. It quickly dawns on them that, were the suggestions backed by success stories really so simple to implement, numerous individuals would have long ago said goodbye to their money woes.
Although it's good to motivate someone towards an achievement, it's better to give them real tools they can work with in the pursuit of success. The personal success stories told by Christian motivational speakers, particularly when they ask you to pay your tithes and offerings to their ministry, should fall under the same suspicion as secular motivational speeches.
Based on true events, The Third Man by Angela Sheffield, brings the Bible up close and personal as the characters face real issues of life: Betrayal, deceit, romance, bitterness, anger against God, hopelessness, will power, perplexity, triumph, unforgiveness, mental illness, and the "Alcohol made me do it" excuse. I want to thank you for saving my life. I will not be fooled again by Motivational Speakers. I think it is sad how people profit from others misfortune. I don't want any person to brainwash me to help support their life style.
