Is the Sixth Sense the Mirror of the Soul and the Third Eye?

What Is the Sixth Sense?
It's common knowledge that there is a sense beyond the five senses of smell, taste, touch, hearing, and sight--the sixth sense, which is also referred to as the "third eye" and the "mirror of the soul." People who are blind and those who have
developed psychic abilities are the ones who tend to be more aware of the reality of the sixth sense than others. It might be said that the sixth sense is the ability of an individual to perceive and communicate with the spiritual realm. There are two ways that a person experiences this. Their spirit is temporarily allowed to see, hear, and communicate with the spiritual kingdom of God as initiated and permitted by God's Spirit, who is also called the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost in Christian biblical scripture. The other way to enter into contact with the spiritual realm is through the practice of
the occult to develop psychic or supernatural abilities. This second way involves contact with the spiritual kingdom of Satan because it is not of God.
Are the Eyes the Mirror of the Soul?
The eyes came to be called the "mirror of the soul" because clues to a person's thoughts, mood, and intentions often are revealed simply by looking into his or her eyes. This is why people will say things such as, "It's written all over your face" or "I can see it in your eyes." This part of the body reflects many things that are going on in the soul, also called the mind. The words "eye" and "eyes" are even used to refer to a person's thinking or mind-set. Again, this is evident in everyday language. For example, a favorite child might be called the "apple" of his or her parents' eyes; and personal opinion is said to be the way an individual sees or views something. To see or view something requires use of the eyes. In the case of personal opinion, it's related to the eyes of the mind or the soul, which is why the eyes are often said to be the mirror of the soul.
The Christian Bible Defines the Mirror of the Soul
The sixth sense, the third eye, and the mirror of the soul are not terms used by God's word to refer to the eyes. However, biblical scripture does let us know that the natural and spiritual eyes of a person closely relate to the spiritual body of that individual.
Man is a three part being composed of a physical body, a soul (mind), and a spirit body (I Thessalonians 5:23). Various scriptures teach and confirm this truth. Ephesians 1:18 reads, "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened...." Understanding takes place in the mind or the soul.
The scripture of Matthew 7:21-22 teaches, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye...."
A paraphrased Bible and some Christian Bible commentaries state that the "evil eye" is jealousy and envy which of course involves the soul, the seat of the thoughts. The scriptures that speak of the connection between the God-given natural and spiritual eyes to not only the soul but also to the spirit are numerous. One very important one is Revelation 3:17-18 which reads:
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
The
Lord Jesus is the one who's speaking in the above passage. It's very obvious that he's speaking of the spiritual condition, not of the physical one of the people to whom he is offering counsel. Remember that he said that these people said that they didn't have need of anything. Obviously, they weren't physically blind, naked, or wretched; and they didn't lack material riches. They are blind, naked, wretched and poor in spirit. The spiritual eyesalve offered by Jesus is for spiritual blindness.
While the sixth sense or the third eye is not the mirror to the soul, the eyes frequently appear in scripture of the Christian Bible to symbolize and represent "things" such as a person's mind, soul, spirit, and thoughts.
