Should You Get the Flu Shot or Improve Immunity with Echinacea?
Should you get the flu shot? Some people such as emergency medical technician, paramedic, and nursing students, are required to take the shot to complete their clinicals, which should not be a requirment. Nevertheless, they have to answer yes to the question. But, more and more people are answering that question in the negative. Why? First, they see how many people who took the shot were not protected from the flu. Second, they are learning that millions are learning how to improve immunity with an all natural herb, echinacea.
Getting Started with Echinacea to Help the Immune System
Just as you might be wondering if you should get the flu shot, you might be wondering if you should use echinacea. It is very important to know who should NOT consume echinacea without first consulting with a medical doctor, even if there is a genuine interest in learning how to improve immunity. If you have any type of auto-immune disorder, leucosis, tuberculosis, collagenosis, HIV infections, Aids, or multiple sclerosis, seek medical advice before attempting to improve immunity.
Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding should check with their doctor before using echinacea. And, people who are allergic to plants in the same family as echinacea also should consult a doctor before using this herb. Plants that are related to echinacea include: calendula, yarrow, safflower, and camomile, sometimes spelled, "chamomile."
