Understanding Recurring Dreams about People
To tackle the topic of recurring dreams about people, let's take a real-life example. Each situation is different, but we're sure you'll find similarities with your recurring dreams about people
For about five years, Ximena (fictitious name) had recurring dreams about Damián (fictitious name). Damian was romantically attracted to her, although she was not attracted to him. Thanks to Damián's brother, they went out together once. And they wrote each other a few e-mails over the course of around five years. At first, Damián appeared to be normal. But in time, Ximena came to realize he wasn't. Damián refused to write real e-mails and to hold real conversations. He was extremely reserved, timid, fearful and totally lacking in self-confidence. Or was it that he had a dark side? That is what we suspect based on his reaction when Ximena told him it wasn't even possible to be his friend, because he would never truly talk. That is when he showed his true colors. He had something to hide. A dark side. A side that was not Christian, though he said he was a Christian. To make a long story short, Ximena said goodbye to him. And she forgot about him. Why then did she continue to have recurring dreams about Damián?
The Power of Thoughts to Produce Recurring Dreams
One truth that we should know is that thoughts are energy...including the thoughts of others. And energy is able to produce recurring dreams. Some believe that recurring dreams are confirmation that the dream will come true. That is not always the case. Let's consider an episode entitled, The Clown, from the American series, One Step Beyond. The Clown tells the true story of the very mysterious death of a murderer at the hands of a clown who was not near him at the time he died...or was killed. The clown had befriended a young woman who was murdered by the man who died under mysterious circumstances. The clown became enraged with the murderer of his friend. And shortly after the murderer killed the woman, he began to see in a mirror images of the clown approaching him to strangle him. The murderer fled, but the images pursued him to a body of water in which he ended up. Images or visions of the clown continued to pursue him, and even attacked him physically. And they drowned him. As soon as the police learned about the friendship between the clown and the victim, they went after the clown, and found him holding the body of the young woman. He hadn't left her side. Nevertheless, the clown was soaking wet as though he had been in a body of water. What happened is he let himself be consumed with hatred. There is a reason why God's Word (The Christian Bible) warns us against hating anyone. It says that to hate is to be in darkness. We read, "He that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes" (King James Bible 1 John 2:11).
We don't believe the clown realized how intense his hatred of the murderer of his dear friend was. We also don't think he went to the body of water to drown his friend's murderer. But is it possible that his spirit, fueled by hatred, went after him? That is possible, because thoughts are energy. Strong emotion can cause us to be with someone in spirit. Although, "I'm with you in spirit" is usually understood in the figurative sense, it does not make it any less true in the literal one. Let's return to the Scriptures where we learn that the spiritual body of man is capable of astral travel. That means it can have out-of-body experiences. Several passages of the Bible speak of out-of-body experiences. 2 Corinthians 12:2 says, "I know a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell. God knoweth;) such as one caught up to the third heaven."
The apostle Paul clearly tells us that people can have out-of-body experiences. Now then, let's look at another truth from the Christian Bible on which the author Rebecca Brown M.D. focused when she warned against the danger of harboring hatred against someone. She points out that the Scripture of 1 John 3:15 says, "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."
Those are strong words. How can we kill someone by hating him? Let's keep in mind that man is composed of three parts: the physical body, the soul, and the spiritual body. We know the spiritual body can leave the body and travel. Could this be what happened in the case of the clown whose "image" drowned the man who murdered the woman he so loved? We reiterate that thoughts are energy. We know that, because there have been cases in which self-hypnosis produced changes in the physical body.
Another true story that proves this is told in the episode entitled, Ordeal on Locust Street, from the One Step Beyond series. If self-hypnosis has enough energy to bring about physical changes, why couldn't thoughts generate enough energy for astral travel? We're not saying the clown did that consciously, because the Scripture of 1 John 2:11 says whoever hates is brother "walketh in darkness, and knoweth NOT whither he goeth." Though the clown's spirit could have been the being that murdered the murderer, it's unlikely that he knew that.
Energy of Thoughts Can Generate Recurring Dreams about People
Just think. If thoughts have the power to produce physical changes, and to cause us to have out-of-body experiences, it's logical to think they can cause us to have recurring dreams about people. In Ximena's and Damián's case, Damián continued to think about Ximena, which caused her to continue having recurring dreams about him. Yes, other people's thought are able to do that.
Let's remember that the Bible tells us that hatred can kill, so we shouldn't be surprised that thoughts can make us have recurring dreams about people. How do we stop others' thoughts from making us have recurring dreams? The answer is simple: We must reject the recurring dreams. Don't forget that you also think, so just like the other's party's thoughts have power and are energy, yours also have power and are energy. We do not believe in trying to develop psychic abilities at all. That is not of God. Nor is that necessary to put a stop to unpleasant recurring dreams about people who no longer are a part of your life, nor do you want them to be.
