¿Qué tiene que ver conmigo? por Teófila Gottfried

Mary Mother of God...But God Has No Mother
Although the Christian Bible plainly tells us that Jesus Christ was indeed born of the virgin Mary, there is good reason why some choose to refrain from calling Mary the mother of God. What could possibly be the reason for this?
Jesus Is Melchizedeck in Hebrews, Chapter 7
In the passage of Genesis 14:14-19, we see that Abraham is blessed by Melchizedek, King of Salem, Priest of the most high God. In the passage of St. John 8:56, we read that Jesus said to a group of Jews, "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day. And he saw it, and was glad." Now we know that Jesus Christ the man was born approximately 2,000 years after Abraham. Therefore, it isn't difficult to deduce that Abraham was permitted to see what is known as an epiphany of the Lord. One of the definitions of "epiphany" is an appearance or manifestation of a divine being. This is what is meant by Jesus saying that Abraham saw His day, and rejoiced to see His day.
With that understanding, we then read what the passage of Hebrews 7:1-3 says about Melchizedek. The description, role and attributes of this mysterious "man" perfectly matches the description, role and attributes of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.
We read, "For this Melchizedek, King of Salem, Priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all. First being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace. Without father, WITHOUT MOTHER, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life..." (Hebrews 7:1-3).
Jesus is Melchizedek. And now we know that Melchizedek had no earthly father and no earthly mother. Mary, though a most highly blessed woman of God who gave birth to the Savior, was not actually Jesus' mother in the strict biological sense. It is for this reason that some Christian believers justifiably refrain from calling Mary the mother of God. No lack of respect is intended. And there is biblical support for refraining from such a practice.
