Why Won't God Heal Me? A Question Too Many Sick Christians Are Asking
There are literally millions of sick Christians asking, "Why won't God heal me?" Many of them have cancer and diseases such as diabetes. Yet they firmly believe in God's power to heal disease, so they pray for themselves. And they line up in prayer lines. After all, divine healing in the church was once a much more common thing than it is today. Nowadays, it's common to hear, "Heal me, God...if it be Your will." This way, if God doesn't heal the person, it can said, "It simply wasn't the Lord's will." In dealing with this subject, it helps to do some categorizing. For example, this article is directly specifically to those sick Christians who are suffering because of their life style and choices.
Heal Me God, If It Be Your Will
Speaking of the will of God, we should know that it is expressed through the Scriptures written by men inspired by the Spirit of God. We read, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." (III John 2).
God wants His people to enjoy good health. So, why are there so many sick Christians asking, "Why won't God heal me?" Again, there's more than one answer to that question. But we are specifically dealing with believers who are asking this question all the while they're destroying their own health. There are Christians who are so enslaved to smoking that they begin lighting a cigarette before they've fully exited the church building on Sundays.
There is now ample information available for free everywhere about the deadly ingredients in processed foods. We have been warned over and over concerning the health hazards of microwaves, constant cell phone usage, WIFI, computers, and of the cancer-causing ingredients in home fix-up products as well as personal care products. Despite the warnings and the ever-increasing cases of cancer at younger and younger ages, sick Christians continue to do all the same health-destroying things as non-Christians. Do they believe God will overlook their sin? Yes, it is sin to knowingly destroy the health with which God blessed you. God's power to heal disease is just as mighty as it was in old times. Divine healing in the church is for New Testament times. However, God will not repair what you choose to keep damaging. If you keep taking the deadly chemical prescription drugs when a change in diet and willingness to use natural herbs would solve the problem, you will remain sick. If you choose to eat processed foods when you can cook natural foods from scratch, you will remain sick. If you choose to expose yourself unnecessarily to WIFI, microwaves and cell phones, which you can replace with safer corded devices; you will remain sick. If you choose never to exercise, you will remain sick. If you choose to drink soda pop, beer and sweetened drinks over pure water and other healthy drinks, you will remain sick. That's all there is to it. At least part of the answer to "why won't God heal me?" lies in taking responsibility for your health by eating healthy, avoiding exposure to deadly chemicals and EMF (electromagnetic fields); and in using the natural herbs God gave for relief from so many medical conditions. Many of those remedies were passed to you if you are a member of the Baby Boomer generation. "Why won't God heal me?" is a question that should be asked AFTER we have done our part to have healthy bodies.
