Are Electronic Cigarettes Safe?
Are electronic cigarettes safe to smoke? Are they safe for the people around whom they are smoked? According to the BBC Mundo article, "Cigarrillos Electrónicos: ¿El As Bajo la Manga de los Fumadores? (Electronic Cigarettes: The Ace Up the Sleeve of Smokers?), a 2009 study by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), indicates that electronic cigarettes contain toxic chemicals that could cause cancer.
Do we really need the results of an FDA led study to be able to answer the question: Are electronic cigarettes safe? We shouldn't need them. How many prescription drugs have caused cancer and even death AFTER they were approved by the FDA? How many times must we pay the consequences of attempting to replace natural substances with new age technology?
In the old days, people made their own cigarettes from tobacco and other herbs that they gathered from fields that had not been sprayed by chemical pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. Many of those people lived well into their nineties as smokers! Why do smokers nowadays not only kill themselves, but also destroy the health of those who inhale their toxic, cancer-causing second-hand smoke? The answer is simple: they no longer smoke natural, chemical-free substances.
The commercialization of cigarettes unleashed an epidemic of lung cancer as well as other types of cancer. There is a reason why the commercial counterpart of the natural cigarette is a deadly product. It is full of poisons and carcinogens that did not exist in the home-made cigarettes made from chemical-free, wild tobacco and natural herbs such as rosemary. People who insist on smoking should not be asking: Are electronic cigarettes safe? Rather, they would do better to return to all natural cigarettes for the sake of everyone's health.
Electronic Cigarettes Are not Safe: They Are Not Natural!
According to the BBC Mundo article mentioned above, electronic cigarettes, also known as "ecigs," contain a mechanism that heats a nicotine liquid and produces a vapor from that heated liquid. That vapor, which contains toxic substances, goes directly to the lungs. How can that be safe? It is not safe!
Non-smokers fought hard to win the right to breathe clean air, and to not be forced to inhale carcinogens from second-hand smoke. However, through the subtle deception of saying that electronic cigarettes are safe, there is an attempt to return the public to the same threat of being robbed of good health, and destroyed and killed by cigarette smoke. It is not a question of smokers' rights. It is the same old diabolical plan, in a electronic form, to steal, kill, and destroy the lungs that God gave to breathe clean air.
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy..." (KJV Bible, St. John 10:10).
