Camomile Tea for Tired Eyes and Dry Eyes
Before thinking of using camomile tea as an all natural treatment for dry eyes and tired eyes, you'll want to be sure that you're not dealing with a serious eye condition such as glaucoma or cataracts. Simply visit your eye doctor for a complete examination to discover what is causing any irritation, blurred vision, headaches, discoloration or any other signs and symptoms you might be experiencing.
Camomile Tea to the Rescue
If you have been diagnosed by a doctor with tired eyes or dry eyes and prescribed expensive eye drops that are habit-forming, you might want to consider using camomile tea to get relief. Camomile is a very mild, all natural medicinal plant or herb that can be purchased in almost any grocery store. You'll want to be sure to buy only 100 percent camomile tea. Simply read the ingredients listed on the tea box. It should say something like "camomile flowers" or "camomile tea," nothing else. And remember, bulk, organic herbs are always better, but you might have to purchase organic, bulk herbs from a health foods store, from the health foods section of your local grocery store or online.
To make camomile tea to relieve your tired eyes and dry eyes, simply boil one cup (8 ounces) of water and pour it over one camomile tea bag and let the tea, also known as an infusion, steep for at least five minutes. Of course, you'll need to let the tea cool to room temperature before washing your eyes. Before doing the eye wash, thoroughly wash your face and hands to help prevent bacteria from entering your eyes. Scoop some tea into one hand and cup that hand with the tea over the eye you want to wash. Blink several times so the tea enters the eye. Repeat this procedure to wash the other eye.
Camomile will stay fresh for about three days if it's refrigerated. Never ever use it as eye drops by storing the tea in a bottle/container with a dropper cap or lid. You can't trust that the container or the dropper is properly sterilized.
God has made wonderful herbs that have and continue to prove to be far superior to man-made chemical prescription medications, which almost always produce serious side effects. When will man realize that he needs to return to the natural diet and medicine chest provided by the Creator if he wants to prevent needless suffering and premature death?
Based on true events, The Third Man by Angela Sheffield, brings the Bible up close and personal as the characters face real issues of life: Betrayal, deceit, romance, bitterness, anger against God, hopelessness, will power, perplexity, triumph, unforgiveness, mental illness, and the "Alcohol made me do it" excuse.
