Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world
Ms. Doreen Virtue in her book on angel therapy states that, "Angels have wonderful gifts from God. Their messages help us heal our beliefs and thoughts. They say, 'Give everything to us and we will give it to the light of God where love purifies all seeming problems!'" Should the Christian believer automatically believe everything he or she hears or reads about the spirit realm because it sounds good or sounds Christian, or even comes from what is considered a reputable source? No. God's word tells the believer to, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (KJV, I Thessalonians 5:21). The same scripture taken from the Living Bible Paraphrased reads, "But test everything that is said to be sure it is true, and if it is, then accept it."
Christian believers are being urged more and more to prove all things because scripture has already warned us that, "...Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (II Corinthians 11:14). This simple, but extremely important piece of advice and warning applies to everything, including what we are told about messages from angels. To prove or test all things, we must compare them to the word of God because, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine (what we believe), for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (II Timothy 3:16). It's very simple to keep this in mind as we walk with Jesus. Concerning the question at hand about angel wisdom, we ask: Is it true that messages from angels help us to heal our beliefs and thoughts? Are we supposed to give everything to them and let them give it to the light of God for us? Again, what does the Christian Bible say about believing these things?
Based on true events, The Third Man by Angela Sheffield, brings the Bible up close and personal as the characters face real issues of life: Betrayal, deceit, romance, bitterness, anger against God, hopelessness, will power, perplexity, triumph, unforgiveness, mental illness, and the "Alcohol made me do it" excuse.
