Secrets about Satan Revealed
When someone speaks of secrets about Satan revealed, he might be referring to an in-depth study of witchcraft or of satanism. When we speak of secrets about Satan revealed, however, we're referring to one question: What does the Bible reveal about Satan? At the end of this short article, you may choose to learn the indisputable reasons why the Bible is the only authority that can be trusted to reveal what we need to know about the master of evil. While this is not an exhaustive list of secrets about Satan, it is enough to raise red flags when you hear certain teachings meant to deceive you.
Transformed into an Angel of Light
We read, "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness" (2 Corinthians 11:14-15).
Just as all that glitters is not gold, so all that sounds good and Christian is not of God. The message might sound beautiful and peaceful, but that does not automatically mean it is from the Lord. And there is such a thing as false peace. The spirit that appears in the sky might sound lovely, but that doesn't mean it is a holy angel. The preacher might carry a Bible and speak of Christ, but he might be a minister of Satan. Remember that one of the secrets revealed about Satan is that he can be transformed into an angel of light. And his ministers can be transformed to appear as ministers of righteousness.
The Father of Lies
The Bible reveals that Satan has many names and titles. One of them is "the devil." We read that Jesus said to a group of people who opposed Him, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth" (St. John 8:44).
Satan is a liar...a master liar. This is one of the reasons why we should never just accept any spiritual teaching as truth until we have verified it is indeed true. How do we do that? We compare all teachings to the Bible as we are guided by God whose Spirit inspired the Scriptures of the Bible. Note that God's Word (the Bible) speaks on every thought, mindset, philosophy, religion and teaching that is considered evil in the Lord's eyes. What is more is that the writers of the ancient Scriptures speak on "modern" mindsets, religions, philosophies and other things they could not have known without inspiration from the Spirit of God. No other book, sacred or not, can boast the same. Let us continue to learn the secrets about Satan revealed by God's Word.
To Steal, To Kill And To Destroy
Another title for Satan is "thief." Jesus warned, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy" (St. John 10:10).
Let us never forget that "to steal, to kill and to destroy" refer to theft, killing and destruction of the mind, spirit and body. The murder, suicide and mass killings we see in these modern times are the works of Satan. Some might argue that they're the works of a sick mind. True. But who robs a person of sound mental health? Satan does...often with the cooperation of the individual. Remember that one of the secrets about Satan revealed is that he is a liar. And one of the most powerful lies he inspires people to tell is that he does not even exist. If he does not exist, none of his diabolical works can be attributed to him. But Jesus repeatedly reminded us that Satan does exist.
Satan Desires to Be Worshiped
Many have heard of Satan worship, but still question if it actually takes place. Stories of people worshiping Satan in exchange for some type of success or power are absolutely true. And worship of Lucifer (Satan) has been taking place since the dawn of civilization. This evil angel even attempted to get the Son of God to worship him. We read, "The devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them. For that is delivered unto me, and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine" (Luke 4:6-7).
It has, and continues to be said in some Christian churches that we glorify Satan by talking and teaching about him. While followers of Jesus should not always be focused on what Satan does, it is dangerous to listen to the advice that we should never talk about how he operates. Again, such advice sometimes comes from those who are satanically inspired. We need to understand at least the basics of how our enemy works. The apostle Paul taught, "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices" (2 Corinthians 2:11). If we don't learn what the Bible reveals about his ways, we will be ignorant of his devices or tactics.
The secrets about Satan revealed are truths that must and will be taught, regardless of the increasing effort to silence the teachers.
