Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If a curse is sent to someone who can't be cursed--such as someone under God's protection--what happens to that curse? Does it vanish? Does it return to the sender?
A Christian preacher once told enemies of the gospel that the curses they were trying to place on him would simply return to them, because he was under God's protection. But is that what the Bible says? It's interesting that God's Word reveals how natural and spiritual things do indeed return to their source.
When we die, our spirit returns to God...the source of life (Ecclesiastes 12:7), who will receive us, or cast us away into punishment (Revelation 20:12-15). Man was made from the dust, and he is to return to the dust (Genesis 3:19). And, Ecclesiastes 1:6-7 tells us all rivers empty into the sea, yet that water returns to the rivers. It says air blows all over the place, but it has a source to which it returns. We know this is true. These are accurate scientific teachings of meteorology and climatology.
But what about curses returning to their source? It's important to understand that curses through witchcraft, as well as blessings from God, can be accepted or rejected. When they are rejected, they return to their source. Jesus told His disciples, "Into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. If the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it. If not, it shall turn to you again." (Luke 10:5-6).
Jesus is explaining that if the house doesn't accept His peace He offered through His disciple, that peace returns to the disciple. Yes, the disciple's peace is from the Spirit of Christ, just as a curse through witchcraft is from satanic spirits. The point is this: If the blessing of peace is rejected, it returns to the one who sent it. Now then, just as we can reject God's peace, and cause it turn away from us, the true believer can reject a curse, and make it turn away from him. The Bible says to resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). To resist is to reject. And to flee is to go away. Let's not forget, however, that in order to have the power to resist (reject) the devil, we must first submit to God (James 4:7).
But does that rejected curse go back to the individuals who sent it? Perhaps not that specific curse. But there are two important truths to keep in mind:
1. If God's blessing of peace is rejected, it will go away.
2. If the true Christian rejects a curse by witchcraft, it will go away. But the sender of that curse will not escape.
We read, "As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him. As he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from. As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones. Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually." (Psalm 109:17-19).
The biblical truths you've just learned now need to be put into action. The following are two stories based on true events in which we see the protagonist--a young Christian lady--battle against invisible dark forces sent to block her from happinesss. Read the first chapters for free.
