Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world
All over the United States of America there are government-supported food stamp programs, food banks, free school breakfast programs, free school lunch programs, churches that offer free meals in their communities. In addition to that, there's the Salvation Army, which serves free meals and hands out sacks of free food. Why in the world is there so much talk about hungry America? Is the nation hungry, or simply gluttonous? It would appear that the latter is the case, because obesity is a major problem in the United States...even among young children.
Could it be that "hungry" and fat America is a nation of people with tape worms? Could it be that the real campaign going on is one of getting people to focus on feeding Americans, so they won't sponsor starving children in other nations where there are no food stamps, food banks, church feeding centers, free breakfast or lunch programs, food vouchers, or anything of the sort?
Feed America Campaigns also keep the attention off of the real problems that plague the nation, among which are violence and crime, which go unpunished. I guess the bullied and scared children, and elderly need to eat well to keep up their strength so they can continue running from thugs, murderers and abusers who know they have nothing to fear from the law. Where are the campaigns to end violence?
It's also funny that we have more so-called hungry people in America at a time when gardening and cooking are unwanted chores even among the poor. Take a look in the meat section of the grocery stores. What do you see? No more soup bones, or marrow bones, or neck bones. It's getting harder and harder to find a package of chicken with the bone and skin still on. Why? Because lazy and choicy America no longer wants to cook. Lower income people used to cook pots of soup and beans, and season those pots with fresh onions and garlic and soup bones and small pieces of meat throughout the pot. But of course that takes too much time, and is too much work. I guess people wouldn't think of planting some seeds and growing their own food. Nowadays, just run through the fast-food drive-up and spend $100.00 feeding the family one unhealthy thrown-together meal. One hundred dollars at the grocery store buying beans, peas, soup bones and legumes will stretch to feed a large family for a long time. But again, why worry about it. America can spend her money on other things now, and get food for free. Do we honestly wonder why so many basic life skills have been lost with attitudes like that?
