Living with Harmless Departed Spirits in Haunted Houses

Are there Friendly and Unfriendly Spirits in Haunted Houses?

More and more people who are experiencing paranormal activity in their haunted houses are asking this question. Sadly, those who seek the advice of parapsychologists, also known as ghost hunters and busters, are receiving counsel that is very disturbing. Parapsychologists says, "There are friendly and unfriendly spirits." Ghost hunters and busters teach, "There are spirits of light, neutral spirits and evil spirits." These erroneous teachings lead to the very harmful belief that living with harmless departed spirits is perhaps what dwellers of some haunted houses should do. What is even more disturbing about adhering to these lies is that many parapsychologists as well as their clients claim belief in the Holy Bible as the Word of God. Unfortunately, because they never bother to read the Scriptures, they have no clue of the vast amount of wisdom contained in those God-inspired teachings of both the Old and New Testaments. Does the Bible really deal with questions concerning paranormal activity? haunted places? ghost hunting and busting? parapsychology? exorcism? Yes! Now then, keep in mind that the Bible was written for all generations, all cultures and all ages (1 Peter 1:25, Psalm 100:5). Therefore, biblical scripture tends to focus on the activity...what's being done, rather than on names and terms, which change with time.

The "Truth" of Ghost Hunting and Paraspychology Versus the Truth of the Christian Bible

First, we fully understand that some people--sick and tired of paranormal activity in haunted houses--turned to ghost hunters and parapsychology when the church provided them with no biblical answers. Nevertheless, turning to a diabolical source for help carries grave consequences. This is why we've heard comments such as:

"I'm so sorry I ever became involved with ghost hunting and busting. Some of my buddies with whom I did this have met with strange accidents. Some of those accidents were fatal. And I'm having close calls myself. I don't know what to do!"

"I'm tormented after messing around with a ouija board."

These people believed that peacefully living with harmless departed spirits simply required getting understanding of "friendly" and "unfriendly" spirits. They wanted to learn to chase away evil spirits, contact spirits of "light," and learn more about "neutral" spirits to better assess and deal with unexplained paranormal activity

Never Settle for Living with Harmless Departed Spirits!

First and foremost, the so-called harmless departed spirits that haunt some places are neither harmless nor are they departed. That is an erroneous doctrine Satan wants you to believe. The Bible says, "ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). Our doctrines, or set of beliefs, should square with what God said in the scriptures. We should allow the scriptures to correct our erroneous beliefs. And we should allow the scriptures to instruct us in what is right in the eyes of God, the one before whom we will answer in the day of judgment.

Throughout the Old and New Testaments of the Bible we see that ALL beings, including invisible beings, belong to one of only TWO sides. Spirits are either holy and serve in God's kingdom, or they are unholy (evil) and serve in Satan's kingdom. Should this be our doctrine? Yes, because remember, our doctrines should be in line with scripture. Let's take a look. You can grab a Bible and verify that all that is written here is actually said in the Word of God (the Bible). We urge you to use an Authorized King James Bible, because it has been proven to be the closest translation to the scriptures in the original languages in which they were written. Note that the New King James Bible is NOT the same as the Authorized King James Bible.

Jesus said we are either with Him or against Him (Matthew 12:30). There is no neutral ground.

The Bible says that we sacrifice either unto God or unto Satan (1 Corinthians 10:20). We see there is no neutral being in between God and Satan to which we can offer sacrifice.

We learn that we either partake of the table of the Lord or of the table of devils (1 Corinthians 10:21). Again, there is no neutral table. "Table" simply refers to the realm in which we serve and move.

This is only a small sampling of Scripture that shows us the Word of God always contrasts only TWO sides. What is more is that every angel in the Bible either belongs to the kingdom of Satan or to the kingdom of God. Remember that demons and devils are actually angelic beings. Yes. That is why the Bible also refers to them as "evil angels" (Psalm 78:49). When we hear "angel," we usually think of a beautiful being with wings, surrounded in light. However, the truth is that angels can be holy, or they can be unholy. What is more is that Satan can greatly deceive us when we hold erroneous doctrines such as the one that says there are angels of light. Second Corinthians 11:14 warns us with these words: "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." This message and warning is very clear. The chief of evil beings can appear as an angel of light literally and figuratively.

In the real world, there are no friendly Caspers. There are no neutral spirits. We've just seen that biblical scripture lets us know that Spirits of light can be as dark as Satan himself. This information should be enough to make us know that the "truths" taught to us by ghost hunters, ghost busters and parapsychologists are actually "lies." All that contradicts what God has said is a lie. It is deception. It is darkness that appears to be light.

But what about departed spirits? Parapsychologists would have us to believe we should look into living with harmless departed spirits. However, we've seen we can't trust what they say. Did you know that the Christian Bible reveals the true identity of "departed spirits" that haunt houses? The truth is that they are NOT departed spirits no matter how much they look, sound and act like a deceased person. Again, deception! Deception! And more deception! Do the biblical scriptures actually reveal what is taking place in the spirit world when we hear and see "departed spirits?" Yes, it does. Any and everyone who is willing to accept these truths will never again believe in living with harmless departed spirits. We cannot overemphasize the need to get wisdom from on high (Godly wisdom). Take the time to read and study The Christian Bible on Spirits of the Deceased
