Should Christian Scientists Tamper With Molecules?

A scientist once said, "Chemical medicines are better and stronger than natural medicines, which cannot cure any serious disease. Take aspirin, for example. It is a wonderful and most needed drug that can thin the blood and relieve headaches. I am a Christian, and I do not believe there's anything wrong with scientists altering molecules to discard what is not needed, and to keep what we can intensify."

While we must admit that chemical medicines have definitely made our lives more comfortable when it comes to things like anesthesia, that does not mean man should play God by altering molecules. The "Christian" scientist went silent when confronted with the following truths:

When it comes to natural medicines versus chemical medicines, we consider not only the real-life experiences of people who faced serious, even life-threatening sickness such as cancer, but also what the Christian Bible says. First, to say that natural medicines cannot handle any serious condition is nothing short of lying. Why? Because numerous people with cancer have survived cancer and thrived by completing relying on natural medicines. We have personal experience with the case of a breast tumor that was totally dissolved using herbal medicines. Not even surgery was performed. Some people, especially cancer patients, however, do need to undergo surgery, after which they can elect to refuse chemotherapy. Therefore, for some Christian scientists to continue saying foolish things like "natural medicines cannot be relied upon to handle any serious medical condition" only proves their willful blindness to the truth, which says otherwise.

Also, God's Word tells us that many diseases of ancient times were because of sin and filth. That's why Israel did not suffer from many of them. God taught the children of Israel to wash their hands, and to abstain from eating blood while pagans never washed their hands. And they ate blood. The truth is that ancient Israel, except when they were in disobedience to God, did not suffer many of the diseases pagans did, yet they had no chemical medicines.

Also, aspirin, a wonder drug according to scientists who support tampering with molecules, is very damaging to the stomach lining and to an unborn child. This is why many women have chosen to learn to use herbs to control mild to moderate pain during pregnancy. The United States is one of the largest--if not the largest consumer in the world of prescription drugs. And its residents are among the sickest people. Most everyone in this country who lives into his nineties in good health still relies on the natural diet and natural herbal medicines their forefathers used. Everyone else here taking prescription drugs is suffering from horrible side effects...so much so that lawyers are having a feast with law suits against doctors and pharmaceutical companies for organ damage and death.

When you tamper with the molecule, you tamper with God's original and all natural chemical code or map for the substance in question. No true Christian believes the Lord gave mankind intelligence for the purpose of altering what He created, as though men were gods who can determine what substances are better, necessary and unnecesarry. The Holy Bible says God called EVERYTHING He made good. We read, "And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was VERY GOOD" (Genesis 1:31).

If God called it good with ALL the molecules and genes He put into it, who is man to say, "I'll change the molecules. I'll decide what's necessary." That's exactly what some "Christian" scientists have done with the bread and many other foods in the United States. And we are sick...very sick with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, mental illness, etc. Many who were diagnosed with Celiac disease discovered they can indeed handle the gluten in the heirloom wheat varieties God made: spelt, kamut, emmer, einkorn, and others. Why? Because their molecules, which are designed by God, have not been tampered with. These statements are not opinion. These are facts...facts that have biblical backing.
