Controlling Your Respiration For A Higher Level of Consciousness
Many people--under the mistaken belief that yoga, tai chi chuan and pilates are simply a system of exercises and breathing techniques--begin practicing yoga, tai chi or pilates to improve some aspect of their physical health and/or to relieve stress. Unfortunately, they tend to overlook the fact that, at the core of every style of yoga, tai chi, or pilates, is the main objective of controlling one's respiration...breath of life, to achieve a so-called higher level of consciousness. This is the reason for the strange breathing exercises and Eastern meditation. If they only knew what is the real meaning behind a "higher level of consciousness" when it comes to yoga and tai chi. In the West, yogis use terms such as "respiration", "life force", "chi energy", etc. in order to hide what you're really doing when you practice yoga.
The Breath Of Life, The Soul And Spirit
The Bible reveals that your respiration is your spirit... and your soul also. We read: "The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7).
Before Adam began to breath, he was nothing more than a lump of clay. In other words, he was not alive. He was dead. The interesting thing is that God's Word also says, "The body without the spirit is dead" (James 2:26). What does that mean? Answer: The breath of life (respiration) and the spirit are one and the same. This is how we know that when yogis speak of controlling your breath of life...your respiration, they're actually speaking of controlling your spirit through your mind (soul). The soul is the mind...the seat of thoughts and intentions. Therein is the grave danger.
A Higher Level Of Consciousness Is Interaction With The Spirit Realm
Just like the true meaning of "breath of life" is hidden from you, so also is the real meaning of "higher level of consciousness." And what does a higher level of consciousness mean? That's another way of referring to the ability to freely interact, at will, with the spiritual world. The Bible explains that God separated the soul from the spirit so man would no longer have the ability to control his spirit--which is his breath of life--through his soul (mind). We read, "For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the DIVIDING asunder of soul and spirit..." (Hebrews 4:12)
The "word of God" is the Lord Himself (St. John 1:1, 14). To divide is to separate. God placed a DIVIDING asunder between the soul and the spirit, so the mind can no longer control the spirit, plain and simple. It's interesting that yogis make reference to a division, or separation, between the soul and the breath of life...also known as "chi energy" that can be restored through the practice of yoga, tai chi, or pilates. No matter how you look at that, it goes against God's will, which always carries consequences. The evil spirits behind yoga and tai chi want you to freely interact with them. Remember that a "higher level of consciousness" is the ability to freely interact with evil spirits. Yes. Evil ones, because you certainly do not come into contact with the Spirit of God by "rejoining" what He separated.
Before Adam sinned, he indeed had a higher level of consciousness, which is evident in the Scriptures. For example, how did Adam know God had made Eve from one of his ribs (Genesis 2:21-23)? We don't read that God told him that. Adam knew, because his spirit was in direct contact with God who is a Spirit (St. Juan 4:24). And what about when Adam said, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). We know those are words the Lord spoke, as Jesus confirms in Matthew 19:5. But how did Adam know that before it was written?
One might argue that just as Adam heard the Lord's voice, the true saints also heard His voice. But that's not the same. The difference lies in the fact that neither the saints of the Old Testament nor those of the New Testament knew things BEFORE God spoke them to them. For example, Abraham did not know he'd come to be the father of many nations until God told him that. Adam, on the other hand, was fully aware of the creation of Eve from one of his ribs without God telling him that. What's more is that Adam was in a deep sleep when the Lord took one of his ribs. And, God must have created Eve somewhere away from where Adam fell into a deep sleep, because the Bible says God brought Eve to him. Adam saw nothing with his natural eyes, yet he knew what God had done. And before his first son was born, he knew God's plan for a son to leave father and mother, and be joined to his wife. Again, Adams says this as far back as the second chapter of Genesis. But we don't read that God told him that beforehand. What a connection to the Spirit of God! That is what you call a higher level of consciousness in the deceptive terminology of yoga and tai chi. However, it is what you call being in direct contact with the spirit realm according to the Christian Bible.
Yoga And Tai Chi Are The Occult. And In Its Fullness, It Is Witchcraft
Once you achieve a "higher level of consciousness", you control your spirit...but only in order to practice the occult, which includes astral travel, lucid dreaming, mental telepathy, and the like. Therein is the grave danger and the great deception. Astral travel at will is pure witchcraft. It's extremely dangerous to become involved with the occult, which is abominable to God (Deuteronomy 18:10). It's also great deception, because God is the only one who really controls our spirit...our breath of life. No one can deny that, because no one can avoid death. The Christian Bible tells us in Psalm 104:29 that when our time comes, the Lord will take our breath away. He will take our spirit away from our body...that part of us that we mistakenly believe we can fully control. The evil spirits behind yoga and tai chi deceive you in order to use you, and to keep you from ever having communion with God who will determine where we spend eternity.
